Big Mistake
I just don't get some people. Just this weekend there was this thing I was cooking for- and a couple of people kept trying to give me instructions on how to cook, and how to grill. I didn't get to 300 pounds by ordering out and driving through Jack in the Box- now please get out of my face and let me cook! It is a BIG MISTAKE to even point out the slightest bit of help- like how to place the foil on the grill, or what to use for seasoning. It reminds me of one time when I was a leader at Denton Bible Church Youth Group. I was putting together a slide presentation and this student started instructing ME on how to change the font and stuff. I looked at him and said, "oh, thanks, but I think I got it." Inside I was thinking, "What? You talking to me about PowerPoint? I practically wrote this program, there is NOTHING in this software that I don't know how to do, I could make a movie like Matrix or Lord of the Rings using this program, now back up out my FACE!!!!" This is what I wanted to say to this little person, but I didn't. No, people don't mean to irritate the crap out of me- sometimes they just do. And you know what, it can even be people you like a whole bunch, or your best friend- it happens. But just in case- some things not to try to tutor me on...
1. Cooking- If I need your help, or your advice, I will ask.
2. PowerPoint- This program ebbs and sways at my bidding, help me with something like C++ or Cold Fusion.
3. Weight Loss- Been there, done that- Lost 113 pounds in 9 months- looked amazing, got bored with eating healthy and working out- now, I don't need your advice, your tips, or your routines- I could teach Arnold a thing or two.
Okay, that's about it for now- peace out.
