Saturday
The rains came down, lightning flashed, thunder boomed. God must have been bored because he sure put on a show Saturday night. I prayed fervently that I would not get burnt to a crisp while lying in my wondrously comfortable bed.
In the Fall of 1990, October 7th on a Sunday afternoon to be exact, our humble abode in Sanger, Texas was struck by lightning and burnt to the ground. This might be part of the reason why the lightning the other night was so threatening, or it might of been because that was the worst Thunder I have EVER heard in my 27 years. The more surprising part was that I talked to a few people and they said that they SLEPT right through it! What?! My sister can sleep through anything. If a tornado came and blew the entire house around her away, she would still be sleeping soundly. Man, what a blessing that is, it is like the Gift of Sleeping or something.
Well, so far my weekend has been fun, more to come...
