The Andiamo Cafe

Dinner last night with Rachel G. was fun. We talked and talked and talked some more. Rachel is a good talker, but she is also a good listener- I like to think that I am the same.

The Andiamo Cafe was a little romantic spot on Beltline. The atmosphere was warm and cozy- picture a dark room, candles on every table, approximately 20 tables, a small bar and a huge wine list. This place was not catering to the young, hip, and single crowd. Apparenlty it wasn't catering to much of any crowd because the place was pretty empty.

The food was nothing special. Which I find this to be the case a lot of times when I go to independently owned Italian restaurants. According to Dave Cribbs, in Italy the food is somewhat bland and is quite as delicious as the Italian food Americans have grown to love.

All in all dinner was nice and it was great getting to see Rachel. I will not be going back to Andiamo- at least not for another 15 years...

Hey Eddie. I'm so glad you brought back the "marry me" column. I used to love reading it, and still do! :)
