Dinner with Friends

This morning I had a Venti Mocha from Starbucks. The place was already decorated for Christmas, they also have bags of Starbucks Christmas Blend all over the store which remind me of Jimmy McWhinney.



Now on to the topic of today's discussion...

This week I am having lots of dinners with lots of friends. You should never wonder why I am 6'5" 350- it is because I am always eating with you!

This week a good friend came into town and we had dinner at the Blue Mesa Grill in Addison, it was delicious. I had spinach and chicken enchiladas and for dessert tres leches cake with mango kiwi salsa- the best non-chocolate cake I have ever had- I actually think I would take this over chocolate cake any day. (Did I just say that?) Rachel G. is a good friend from Lubbock. She works at Tech. We met when we used to work for the same company, Custom Food Group. We have kept up via email.

Last night I had dinner with the Talburts, the menu was surf, turf, and Thai. Mr. T apparently spent the entire day planning this smorgasboard of meats. We had shrimp, steak, scallops, and a chicken-mushroom-rice-ginger soup that was really tasty. Eating dinner with the Talburts is always an event- one thing for sure - it is never boring.

Nikki Johnson stopped by and of course Mr. T made her eat something and take something to-go. (Mr. T is good about that- he is wonderfully generous.) It was really nice getting to see Nikki, she is such a good quality friend. You forget that sometimes when you are away from your quality friends. And she is a laugh riot. She is the best at telling stories that will just make you crack up.

Tonight I am going to dinner with Rachel G. again, then I am off to Waco tomorrow to hang out with Joe B. and Amber. Then next week I am supposed to have dinner with Angie B. and Amanda W. - And the Holidays haven't really even started!
