I still feel like a KID!!!

I work for a big company, and I do grown up things, but I still feel like a kid...

When I call up sales reps and they start asking me all kinds of high level questions about international travel and orders and crap- I just BS my way through and say everything with confidence or use the old stand by- "Let me get back to you on that". Little do they know that I have no idea what I am doing, but in business you realize a great number of problems are handled this way, and by this way, I mean BS.

The question is who is the better BS’er, and frankly, I am pretty good at the BS.

I remember when I was an IT Manager at Custom Food Group, they kept expecting me to make all these big decisions and go to meetings and work overtime and I was like- What? I am only 24!!! I am not ready for this! I want to be a kid!

Now, I don’t want to be a kid anymore. But... when do you finally feel like you are a grown up? Does it happen after you have your own set of kids? Does it happen after 30? Has it happened to you?

Please tell me if there is a Grown-Up Fairy out there that will one day come and put a certificate of adulthood under my pillow and once I read the certificate I will be entitled to "A grown up mentality thereby forsaking all feelings of youthfulness and childishness. Said grown up will feel mature when talking to other grown ups about grown up things and will no longer feel the need to make fun of other grown ups that act too grown up. Also, upon receipt of Grown-Up certification, you will no longer refer to Adults as Grown-Ups."

I want to grow up. I don’t wanna be a Toy’s R Us kid.
