Josh Groban

Sunday night we watched the American Music Awards- I mentioned this in yesterday's Weekend update, but what I didn't mention was that the best performance of the night was Josh Groban. I first saw Josh on an episode of Alley McBeal- he sang "You're Still You". I remember he was only 21 at the time and he could already sing like Andrea Bocelli and Pavarotti- He's amazing.

Sunday night when he was singing towards the end the vocals were so amazing, so crystal clear, so wondrously perfect that only God in heaven could have created a voice so beautiful. It reminded me of something I read recently in Madeline L'Engle's book, Walking on Water. L'Engle said that "one day when we finally do communicate with people on other planets, that it may not be that we communicate with a language but with music." That is the great thing about art and music, it transcends the boundaries that our cultures and religions often limit us to.

So back to Josh Groban...

I plan to buy all of his CD's, the music is just that good- buy it, listen to it, drink a Starbucks Papricka Mocha and thank God that life is so sweet.

Much Love.

This really has nothing to do with Josh Groban. I went from jes's site, where she had a link to yours and the marry me list. your blog is very cool, i was giggling out loud at my desk (which is ok bc the closest person to me who would notice is mel, who is also a friend of jes's, so she doesnt think im weird...not any more weird than she already did. anyhow, i just wanted to tell you your blog is fun. feel free to check out the sticky muffin (my blog)

Hi Eddo! I saw the American Music Awards too last night. Josh has such an amazing voice and his songs are so beautiful. I agree with you, He IS amazing. When I first heard him, his voice reminded me of Andrea Bocelli's. I first heard about him back when he went to sing for the Pope. I read somewhere that he also sang at the Nobel Peace Prize.
