My Vote is for Sale!!

I love America, I LOVE DEMOCRACY. I like how heated this entire debate has become. I like the fact that in this election the president actually has to fight to win- and if you feel the same way I do, then you can buy my vote! That's right, for the low price of 39,995 I will vote for whoever you want me to, because not only is America a Democracy, but we are also a Capitalist society and I want to capitalize on this election.

In reality, I want President Bush to win, but I am reminded of a time when thought that the world was going to end when one Mr. Bill Clinton started running for office. A liberal? A Democrat? (Gasp!) Yes, President Clinton made some mistakes, yes he raised taxes, and yes, he got impeached, but the world didn't end. There was no need for me to go around removing Elect Bill Clinton signs from the front yards of unsuspecting neighbors, I probably shouldn't have burned those bags of poop on the doorsteps of the same ignorant democrats, in hindsight, I should have just left well enough alone.

This year, I mellowed a bit. I didn't get into too many heated debates, I tried to be open-minded as I listened to people try to tell me why they were voting for Kerry. None of the people I talked to had really good reasons. Unfortunately, politics appears to be a game, a game played by the media and by politicians and I feel that Americans are treated as cheap pawns, pawns that are toyed with and twisted and coaxed and coerced into believing promises that neither man knows whether or not they can fulfill.

I don't think that President Bush is a Ronald Reagan, or an Abe Lincoln, but I don't think that he is a Nixon, or a Carter either and I feel that right now he is better for our country than John Kerry. He is a good man with Christian values and he believes in the things that I believe in.

That's my story and I am stickin to it!
