A little Boozy Woozy if you know what I mean...
Yesterday at the gym Maksim and I worked out legs. I like a good leg workout, thank God for the nice musculature in my legs. I didn't ask for these muscles, I didn't work hard for them, some people got good looks, deep voices, and great hair- I got brilliant leg muscles.
The best workout for your quads is the Squat. Rarely do you ever see people doing Squats because they are painful. You stack a few hundred pounds on a bar and before you even begin to do the exercise your shoulders are killing you. Then you proceed to squat down, making your quads parallel to the floor, parallel if you are doing them right, and then you come back up and repeat. This exercise will make your quads bulge as if they just finished eating at an all you can eat chinese buffet. They will pop out the way your stomach pops out at Thanksgiving. They will scream out, "HEY, LOOK AT ME!" like a set of breast implants.
But my legs don't need to get any bigger...
It has been said that the leg workout is very important- mostly because when you work these large muscles your body releases something that makes all of your muscles grow. So, last night, I did some leg extensions, some leg presses, and some hamstring things that I can't remember the name of right now. Afterward I wanted to do a little cardio, even though one set of leg presses makes me breathe like I just ran a 100 meter sprint, so I got on the treadmill- AND MAN DID I FEEL DRUNK!
Every time I do legs I get a little nauseated. I get light headed from all the blood pumping through my body. My legs feel like jelly and I feel uninhibited and I start stripping on the treadmill- just kidding. But really, I do feel all Boozy Woozy after a good leg workout.
Wednesday is our day off from working out so I am going over to Girja's house to finish painting her living room.
Girja is one of my best work friends, here is a picture of her and her husband all fixed up in Bombay. Girja's sister is extremely gifted creatively, she made Girja's skirt shown in this picture.

i know. don't you just love leg workouts where you work SO HARD that your legs are trembling, and you have to have help just to walk?
of course, it's been 8 years (did i really just realize that?) since i have had a workout like that, but i remember it clear as day.
eight years. that's a long time. no wonder i've gained so much weight. geeez.
eddie. i don't know what happened, but the template of your site just SHOULDN'T be pink. it's like, against the rules. or something.
I know the feeling! But I love when you get off the treadmill from running (probably my favorite thing to do...I just love to run!) and your legs feel like they are still running. Kind of a weird feeling....but I like it.
Guess I will be working out legs more often now after reading this post. Heck i need to work out more muscles in general the most I spend in the gym is 1 hour and 20min of that is cardio. I also feel "boozy woozy" after that. But only for a few minutes.
