You gave me a spankin to make me shut up
You tightened the lid on my sippy cup
You saved me that day when I almost floated down river
You have never been an Indian Giver.

You laugh at my jokes when they're not funny
You wiped my nose when it was snotty and runny
You held me close when I was scared at night
When I didn't make the basketball team you said I'd be alright

You bounced me on your knee until I was too big
Even though I snort when I laugh, you never called me a pig
You listened, and noticed, and gave good advice
You taught me the ingredients to the spice of life.

You are the best mom, the best indeed
You never tried to give me drugs, you never smoked weed
You didn't use bad words around me, not even "bra"
It was "Bunny Rabbit Association" - I didn't understand at all.

Thanks mom, for being there, for being my best friend
Even though it wasn't always pleasant raising me,
I know you'd do it again.
