House Me!
Amanda Adams got a new house. Her house is decorated extremely well and as I walked around I kept thinking, "I WANT ONE!" and what Eddie wants, he always gets (usually 3-5 years after the initial wanting begins)

This is Amanda's living room. I really like the usage of warm colors combined with the bright red couch. Personally I like her red couch more than my purple couch, Amanda do you want to trade?

I also really like this wicker chair and the fact that if you get bored with the cushions, you can easily change them. I get bored easily.

Here is the dining room. You might think that the red is a little bit much, but believe me, when you see it altogether it looks very warm and inviting - cozy even. I actually think Amanda has a Martha Stewart gene - some people are born with it, some aren't. I keep hoping Amanda will finally give in and marry me - I would complete her, and then she would have a purple and a red couch.

I love this coffee table. I have wanted one for as long as I can remember and now that I know where to get one (Rooms to Go) I will be getting one for myself.

We were having a party of Jimmy and this is how Amanda prepared the snacks. Obviously this is how girls do things, if I had done this party I would have just set out a whole canteloupe and some store bought brownies and said, "Go to town people!" That is one thing I love about women, they take care of the details and isn't life in the details?
So I am looking for real estate in the Plano area with lots of character and about 1500 square feet with hard wood floors, vaulted ceilings, ceramic tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, and a large lot for less than 100,000. If you know where I can find this, please give me a call.

The decor is very AMAesque. One of the things I loved about living with Amanda is she has GREAT taste in decorating (though that did lead to some household drama when you live with five girls with very different taste - good thing I was with AMA on what looked nice so I knew I ended up on the pretty side of the drama).
KT, I remember all of that drama and ya'll had such a big house that one would have thought that there would have been enough room for everyone's style. However, I know how drama can start building and I remember how that whole deal ended up.
agreed. AMA is a fabulous-o decorator. her house looks great! i heard that she was building.
eddo, here is my favorite online search engine for real estate: www.ebby.com
you can use their map feature and search in certain areas of dallas, in certain price ranges, view the houses, descriptions, images, photo galleries, etc. it's wonderful!
Oh eddie if only you knew the D R A M A that occured in that house regarding decorating. We did have a lot of room but it had to be sectioned off for personal items versus group items. I laugh now at the insanity of it all.
The pics of the house are beautiful! I also have lots of red in my kitchen, living room, and dining area. I love it! It might look like a bit much at first, but its so warm and cozy like you said!
What a beautiful home. I don't normally like red as a decorating color, but it looks amazing! Well done.
Gorgeous! I feel the same about red - at first it seems overwhelming then you 'warm up to it'...what would be your color schemes, Eddo?
fabulous! Yust Fabulous!
Less than 100K in Plano - good luck bud. more like 200K.
I hope you do find something though...eventually that has Eddo renz written all over it. :)
Where is Amanda's house?
I like dark browns, warm browns, greens, and blues.
I would prefer my house someday to look rustic - yet refined.
I don't like ultra-modern for very long. I prefer cozy and clean, but I don't like oversized couches or laz-e-boys. I abhor recliners. I like ottomans and nice club chairs. I prefer leather couches with cloth chairs.
I will NOT allow fake wood in my house as in manufactured coffee tables, or desks.
I am extremely picky when it comes to interior design and if my wife tries to hang up floral wall paper or curtains we are going to have a problem.
I like the way you think...
No leather in the living room - only the den.
I like country french furniture. Always clean and classic. wish it was cheaper though.
OOhh me like! However, I could really picture you plopping a cantelope and brownie mix and tell people to help themselves lol.. that made me laugh loud lol.
I have moved sites, I can now be found at:

Wow Eddie...you are TOO NICE!! The pics turned out so cute!
KATIE....Oh my gosh...i was laughing so hard when i read your comments about the decorating...i don't know who all reads this so i will choose my words carefully...staircase window + shoe = BAD DECORATING
haha
my "web page" is pics of the house being built...
AMA, you must settle a conflict between me and KT. was the boot ceramic or silver? i seem to remember a silver victorian boot, but KT says the one she remembers was ceramic.
was there more than one?
WOW, gorgeous! So is she gonna marry you?
Wouldn't we all. I'd take the same thing only mine would be in NJ.:(
I absolutely love it! Wow who woulda thought red would be so cozy? I guess I will have to redo ours now, wonder what your dad will think? lol
Amanda and I already had that purple sofa... it's so 2002 Coit. I'm kidding Ed, cause I did love the purple sofa. You can do something cozy with it and red too! Blend with stripes!
Just to clarify that party wasn't of Jimmy. It just happened to be the last day he was in town.
Jes...I remember the boot being MAUVE CEREMIC...but there could have easily been more than one.
I do miss the Purple sofa...and the leopard blanket! who has that?
....i loved that coit house! :)
Where did you find it? Interesting read » »
