Yesterday was so hot that I got a sunburn walking from my car into my office building after lunch. It literally felt like a gas burner was turned on high and was hovering inches over body. My car thermometer read 106 degrees, but to me it felt hotter. It was so hot that I was reminded of those people melting in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when they opened the Ark of the Covenant. I was roasting like corn on the cob at the State Fair…
And now this morning I had the heater on in the car.
It was 62 degrees on the way in to work this morning. Now that might not seem all that cool, but when your body is used to 106, then 62 is practically freezing. It was so cool that I had to warm myself up with an egg mcmuffin from McDonalds.
And speaking of McDonalds – I have eaten there 4 times this month – 4 TIMES! What? I haven’t eaten at McDonalds 4 times in the last 4 years – I think of it as trash food, but I read this article about how the Egg McMuffin was not a bad breakfast option and so I have been eating them again. Ugh.
So today it is nice and cool here in Texas and I am really looking forward to Fall and patio dining, and barbecues, and evening coffee, and cozy sweaters, and most of all – snuggling.
