Confessions of a Guysha

1. I cuss and swear sometimes when I am by myself, and when I do, I do it with a British accent. (Oh, stop judging me, you know you do it too)

2. I don't like checking voice mail because it almost always means someone wants something. Kidd Kraddick said, "My phone has turned into a favor phone..." that isn't always the case for me now, but at one time it seemed to be that way and now I don't like to check my voicemail. Don't get me wrong, I like to do favors, it's just that sometimes I can't deliver and I hate not being able to deliver.

3. I am like big Al Mac on KISS FM - this morning they said, "Al is lacking in the one-on-one conversation department." So often I find that I am just like Big Al - I need an audience to be at my best, but I am working on the one-on-one conversation (Cat is helping me in that department)

4. At times I am overly sensitive. A lady called me Betty on the phone the other day and I cussed her out - but I did it in a British Accent.

5. Growing up I always wanted to be just like Mr. T with a mohawk and everything - sometimes I still do.

6. Once a year I like to eat Jack in the Box Tacos - When I am eating the mystery meat concoction, I know it is probably the worst thing I could consume, but I eat it anyway and I enjoy them with lots of that hot sauce that comes in a packet.

7. I don't like talking on the phone unless I have something to say, I never call people just to chat - I use email and blogging to catch up with people, not the phone. (it's the 2000's people, email is communication)

8. I rarely eat cold sandwiches. When I was growing up I ate a lot of cold sandwiches and now I am just not a fan of them, grilled cheeses - yes, cold turkey and cheese - NO!

9. I used to tell people, "I am high maintenance, but I am worth it". Wow, what a girl thing to say(no offense ladies), I am embarrassed that I ever said that to anyone.

10. I have an irrational fear of looking into mirrors in the middle of the night. I always think I see something in them that isn't really there. Sometimes I force myself to look just because the fear is so silly, but most of the time I just look away.

Oh, and about the title - has anyone read "Confessions of a Geisha"? The movie coming out looks fascinating.

And last night I worked on this web job, just in case you like keeping up with my web work.

Note to self for this weekend....

1.No voicemails for Eddo
2.No Jack in the Box tacos for Eddo for dinner tomorrow. (I've never tried them to be honest with ya!)
3. Wake up at 3am at some point this weekend and shave Eddo's hair into a mini-mohawk.
4. Eddo likes the same sandwiches I do. Order him a hot sandwich at Lenny's on Friday.
5. Cover all mirrors in guest house.
6. Have a great time, spending the weekend in NYC with Eddo!

1. Guilty as charged. Although, admittedly NOT in a Brittish accent...

3. I'm the opposite. LOVE one-on-one: I guess I'm good with a crowd so long as I keep them laughing. Otherwise, I clam up REAL quick.

4. TOTALLY oversensitive too.

5. Um.. yeah. Can't say that I ever aspired for the mohawk.

7. Not a phone talker either unless it's my best friends. Then I can talk for hours. Otherwise, tell me what you have to tell me and be done with it. I KNOW for a fact that I come off as awkward on the phone. Eddo don't ever call me. You'll be disappointed. lol

8. Hot Sandwiches ALL THE WAY.

9. I AM high maintenance. And I like it.

Have fun in NYC! (That's this weekend, right?)

1. Ok I do this too, but not in an accent unless a loud tone of voice is considered an accent
2. I need to remember this and not leave voice mails for you
3. One-on-ones with you seem fine to me but they haven't been for long bouts of time, you are great in a group though and that is a gift
4. overly sensitive, me? no way, ok well yes I am thank you very much (laughed about you getting called Betty and then cussing at the lady in accent no less)
5. I wanted to be on the A-Team, they needed a chick to make it complete and I wanted to leap from a van; Eddie you are Mr. T, just without the mohawk and all the gold jewelry, I may start calling you Mr. E
6. SICK, GROSS, those things are dry heave worthy, NASTY
7. figured this out already
8. love cold sandwiches, can live on them, but will remember to always have a hot option for you if I'm providing food
9. I remember you saying that before, hee hee
10. interesting

Eddie I love the random stuff from you,I get to learn a bit more of what makes Eddo, Eddo.

The book is incredible and I'm hoping the movie lives up to it. It was one of those that was hard to get into but then I was so engrossed that I was extremely disjointed when it ended. I could have stayed in it forever.

I swear to myself all the time (but can't do a British accent at all).

Never had JIB tacos - could be interesting (Did you know they're open on Christmas?).

Loved Mr. T - but always thought his neck must get tired wearing all the jewelry. Mine hurts wearing Mardi Gras beads for too long.

I'm the opposite on sandwiches. Love cold, not so much on hot (with the exception of grilled cheese).
Although the big plan is to have Monte Cristo's at 2 AM after my friend's wedding this weekend. I'm not sure how I feel about a deep-fried sandwich.

Obviously, watching horror movies as a kid left an indelible mark on your psyche.

Have a great time in NYC!! I'm there in 3 weeks. Woohoo!!!

I don't like to talk on the phone either, Eddo. I LOVE e-mail.

Ohhhhh, hot sandwiches and fast food tacos. You're a guy after my own heart. (Kidding, Cat).

Eddo, you kinda remind me of Mr. T! You should try the mohawk once, just for a few days, then shave it off! That would be funny!

Can't say that I swear much, unless I'm really really mad or really really hurt. B uses "Fricken" a lot and the other day my 9 yr old J said it (it slipped out) and it mortified me - almost as bad as the real swear word! He was even shocked he said it and said sorry right away - said he's so used to dad saying it that it just kind of came out.

Scary how much your kids will mimic you, and what people can learn about you through your kids!

1. Some words I use a British accent for. With others it's more of an angry accent.
2. Note to self: No 5 minute voicemails for Eddie.
3. You've done just fine and dandy thus far.
4. This one made me laugh. Especially the british accent part.
5. I loved the A-Team. LOVED them. I used to watch them all the time with my dad, along with McGuyver (which I have no idea how to spell)
6. Ew. ew ew.
8. Hot sandwiches always taste beter than cold, and you can never go wrong with a grilled cheese.

I read that book. LOVED it. Definitely one of my favorites of all time, I'm hoping that the film will be able to live up to it.

I don't like the phone either. Nor do I like emailing, blogging, texting, writing letters, or carrier pigeons as forms of communication.

I'm a semantic conversationalist... or a conversational semanticist... whichever... either way I get a great deal of joy out of talking face to face with someone or face to faces with a group.

Anyway Eddo, just wanted to actually post for once... seeing as I read your blog still all the time.

Eddo, I think me and you are definitely long lost friends....I HATE checking voice mail! Mostly b/c its much easier to call back and ask what they wanted. I totally prefer warm sandwiches, especially ham & cheese! And I never look into mirrors in the dark! Too scary!

P.S. I think you would make a GREAT Mr.T! Go with it!
