Silver Kryptonite

I used to watch Smallville religiously. When it first started Cribby (an old roommate) and I used to watch it while swilling multiple cans of Dr. Pepper and eating fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried okra.

Unfortunately, the show started to take a lot of weird twists and turns and for me I felt that they built up episode after episode and they never delivered. Today the commercials keep talking about "Silver Kryptonite", like it is different from the red or green kryptonite that we are already familiar with. Next I am sure they will have Platinum Kryptonite!

So why am I talking about Smallville? Becuase it was a great show that rarely delivered - which is not the case with LOST.

Did you watch last nights episode? Did you see that Shannon got shot? They told us in the previews that someone was going to die and they did! And it wasn't some side character that no one cared about - it was hot blonde Shannon! I am livid! If you are going to kill off people, kill off the dudes!(Like Hurley and John Locke) Soon the show would be all about the Big Fat guy who is now slim and surrounded by attractive women - then the show would have to change it's name to Fantasy Island!

The show was starting to slow down after the first couple of episodes, but then BAM! - in one episode they brought me right back and I am focused in on this show like Ansel Adams on some beautiful scenery (Okay, lame simile, but it's early!)

So what are you watching?

I've heard a rumor about the secret behind the show. I'd tell you but I think it would ruin the whole thing. The thing is it's so plausible and weird enough for Hollywood that it's probably true.

Let me know, I'll spill the beans.

I don't watch t.v. And if I do: It a thousand or so reruns of Friends due to the fact that between my roommate and I we own pretty much the whole series. Yeah: We're sad. lol

i totally watched LOST last night, and afterward, rushed to Walgreens to pick up my anti-depressants. i'm sad that shannon is gone! but, still, she's stupid! walt was TOTALLY warning her not to go yelling, he was TOTALLY telling her to be quiet, and what does she do? she screams. she runs after him. she gets herself shot.

and i totally pegged it at the beginning of the show, when sayid said 'i'm not going anywhere.' or whatever it was that he said, i turned to roger and i said, 'that was TOTALLY foreshadowing.'

i really hate the long weeks in between episodes.

But Jessica if some scary freaky dripping wet boy that floated off on a raft the last time you saw him and spoke to you in backwards words was showing up and noone believed you, don't you think you would run after him and kick his little freaky butt for scaring the pants off of you and making everyone think you were crazy?

I only watch a couple shows, and LOST is one (started watching because of JJ Abrams, but don't know if I'll forgive him for the really poor story writing of killing off a second fiance of Sydney's on ALIAS - a show I no longer watch). I knew they were killing off a female last night - but really wouldn't have minded if it were Ana Lucia. I had felt like the first few episodes were dragging and that they are starting to pick up pace again. Last night was the episode I have most wanted to see since the season premier. And as to killing off hotties - they got the hottest guy on the show the first time! So - I think they're even :)

I only watch two shows since Buffy, Angel, and Firefly are all gong. The West Wing is one of these two shows. This Sunday's live debate episode was outstanding. I'd vote for Vinnick in a heartbeat.

I still watch smallville. I like it this season. I didn't get too much into it last season - felt the same way you did, but I'm hooked again.

Also - One Tree Hill, and Gray's Anatomy - I Tivo the three of them at a friends house, so I go over and get caught up on all my shows since my schedule is too hectic to actually watch it and I'm too cheap to have my own Tivo...

I was a faithful Superman reader growing up and never read about silver kryptonite.

I'm watching MTV. I haven't quite grown up yet. Maybe someday.
