High School Musical?

I frequent iTunes about as often as I frequent Taco Bueno - almost daily. So this week the top 10 has 4 songs from this High School Musical show that was featured on Disney.

The songs sound pretty good, but I haven't heard of this movie and why is it such a big hit? I have never heard of high schoolers getting into show tunes.

What is this world coming to?

Next thing you know grown men will be crying during Phantom of the Opera.

I'm not sure what musical you refer to, but I have directed high school musicals that were things like Carousel and Kismet. Last summer I coached a group of mostly middle school kids (a bunch of High School too) out in Washington, that my daughter in law was directing in Bye Bye Birdie. (I usually don't like the shows that were written for high schools, maybe that's why I'm not sure which one you're talking about.

You're not fooling me THIS time, Mister!

YOU cry at Phantom of the Opera! THIS much I know!

I bet you cried when the Lion died in The Chronicles, didn't you?

...Oh, and to answer your question: I was a TOTAL musical theatre geek in high school. Thanks for picking on me.

my fav thing about this is the "frozen time jump in the air" pose. I want one of those for myself.

It seems that people are misinterpreting what I am talking about and so I posted a picture - the show was actually called High School Musical - it's not a musical musical, but a show about a musical.

Oh I didn't misinterpret anything. But I am overreacting just for fun! ;)

I too like the "frozen time jump in the air" pose. Nice touch, Disney. lol

Eddie I just had a stroke of genius, you should get each member of the blog patrol in the "mid-air jump pose" and post it on the site. PERFECT.

Great idea KT! But seeing as how I am the only one of our Awesome 8 that doesn't have a camera, I will have to delegate the job to someone else - and I delegate it to you and Jessica.

Since Jessica is gone, you have a little bit of time to plan it.

I can get Biggy to photoshop us all into one picture if you can get everyone to jump individually.

I'd like the picture done by the end of February and if you could tie in the Winter Olympics into the design, that would be great too!
