Remember Our Troops

There is no price for freedom because it cannot be bought, instead it is continually leased. We pay for our most precious commodity, the thing we cherish the most, with the people we cherish the most.

Don't stop believing in America, don't stop supporting our troops. You may not support George W. Bush or the war in Iraq, but you should still support the troops and the people that give up their lives for our safety and our freedom.

Agreed. BTW, I don't like this blog design half as much as the last one. Bring it back! Bring it back! ;o)

I concur! (I like using that word, it makes me feel smart, I know I know...its a convenient lie. LOL)
No, really, I don't mean to smack of ingenuine agreement. I've actually got a couple of friends stationed overseas with whom I send care packages regularly. Its amazing the things that they'll be forced to ask for. Once I sent a box of 100 plastic fly swatters...for a friend and their platoon. Apparently the flies in Iraq can get so thick you can't see three feet in front of your face at times. As if war alone weren't scary enough, the conditions in which some soldiers are forced to live, well, it makes my heart break.

Eddo thank you for remembering the troops. One of my friends recently died in Afghanistan fighting in the war, and he is a constant reminder that REAL people are over there fighting a war. Whether we agree with the cause or not, whether we agree with Bush or not doesn't matter we need to support the troops who are real people who have real families waiting for them back home.

If you want to see his memorial you can visit my site.
